My Story

I had been in the corporate sector for over 21 years, with the first half of that time focused on sales, and the second half honing into marketing and project management. Significant life events have since led me to this new chapter of life; consulting. This is a long journey, so sit tight.

In 2015 I was in the process of wedding planning and could not find a single invitation set that I liked. I was shocked by the lack of options and customizations available, so I started my own business. RAD Design was born and I helped countless brides custom-design the stationery of their dreams. My business was soon rocked by a massive life event.

In 2016, my mother passed away suddenly. I found myself in a dark place and knew that I needed to find something to occupy my time and ground me. I started teaching myself how to garden and my first raised garden bed was built in 2017. But that wasn’t the only new growth I saw that year. I branched out from stationery design and started focusing my side business efforts on small to medium sized business branding. I was seeing expansion in many ways, personally and professionally.

Through out my career, I have always been praised for being organized, a good communicator, trustworthy, approachable, detail oriented, and a thoughtful leader. Those characteristics arguably landed me in my first role as a project manager. In that same year, 2017, I was asked to come back to a previous employer who knew my skill set. The company put me through a project management certification series and created a new role for me to fill. After spending over 4 years there, I climbed the corporate ladder with another organization starting in 2021. While there, I took yet another quantum leap in my growth by going through yoga teacher training.

I completed my 200 hour certification and I hosted my first public workshop in 2022. I named it Flow and Grow. In this hands on event, my attendees started their own seed trays and learned about care and transplanting, and how gardening correlates to living a yogic way of life off our mats. Insert ah-ha moment.

My then business, RAD Design, was reborn into Conscious Creator. The rebrand allowed me to shift from graphic design freelancing, into more robust consultant offerings. The name was chosen because everything in my life, to this point, was a conscious decision based on what my gut said was a "heck yes". In addition, I seem to always be creating something; in my case it was gardens and brands.

Once I had the name, I continued my design work and started discussing the need for a community garden in my little city. I didn't want to stop there, I wanted to start a garden club and lead workshops. A couple of years and several meetings with the mayor and some council members later, I kicked off the Seed to Spoon workshop series that is hosted at our community recreation center. The intention behind the workshop was to build awareness and excitement around what is coming to our beautiful community, and word travelled fast. In August of 2024, we formed the first garden club in Middleburg Heights and plan on breaking ground for the community garden in 2025.

Life has a wild way of throwing us curveballs, and mine did just that. In the same month as the garden club formation, I was suddenly laid off from my corporate role with over 8 years project management experience. I now realize that I kept searching for an organization to fill my desires of creativity and satisfy my multi-tasking nature of shifting from one portfolio to another. The corporate world couldn’t give that to me, only I could.

Through my grief, career, and yoga journey, I learned that I am a creator of my own destiny. Conscious Creator Consulting is here to offer an eclectic array of services that set my soul on fire; gardens, brands and project plans. I want to do what I love and teach it as I go.

So welcome to this leg of my journey. I am glad you’re here.
